President briefed on ombudsman secretariat’s performance

Paracha assured the president the insurance ombudsman endorsed the government’s vision for timely and speedy justice

KARACHI: President Arif Alvi held a meeting with Federal Insurance Ombudsman Muhammad Raeesuddin Paracha at Aiwan-e-Saddar. During the meeting, the president was briefed over the performance of the ombudsman secretariat. Paracha assured the president the insurance ombudsman endorsed the current government’s vision for timely and speedy justice. President Alvi also briefly monitored the services of the secretariat and stressed on the need to promote the use of information technology for online registration of complaints. The federal ombudsman for insurance is playing a critical role in ensuring protection of insurance consumers and saving them from losses, he said and directed the concerned authorities to ensure that recommendations of the federal insurance ombudsman are implemented in letter and spirit so that complaints are adequately resolved.
