KARACHI: The three-day annual Karachi Eat Festival has started on the 11th of this month in Karachi. The event — known for the newness of its concept and the variety of food it offers to visitors at one place — is also actually three days of hassle and inconvenience for commuters and those living near the venue. With slower traffic, blocked roads and blocked cellular service (inside the venue) due to the poor management on the part of the organisers, many have to take alternative routes, or to be safer, not leave their homes at all.
