Moreover, members of the sub-committee of the cabinet, Mir Zahoor Buledi, Asad Baloch, and Ziaullah Langove submitted the report of their Khuzdar visit expressing satisfaction over construction work of Shaheed Sikandar Zehri University Khuzdar. They recommended immediate release of funds for the university. The sub-committee also recommended the sub-campus of Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) Women University in Panjgur.
To this, the cabinet unanimously agreed and directed the educational department to follow the proposal. In addition, CM Kamal announced further sub-committees of the provincial cabinet. “The sub-committees would be responsible to visit various districts of Balochistan and submit their reports in the cabinet regarding development projects and public issues,” said Kamal.
He termed the decision helpful in resolving public issues at their doorsteps. The establishment of more campuses of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in remote areas of Balochistan was also approved. After much discussion, the cabinet unanimously approved Balochistan Education Foundation Act 1994 and Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bill 2018.
Furthermore, a Rs8.18 million fund was earmarked for sports department. The cabinet members expressed their reservations over Public Sector Development Projects (PSDP 2018-19), for which additional funds were approved. To strengthen health service at National Highways, the cabinet approved provision of necessary facilities at health centres and announced such centres will work as emergency service together with Rescue 1122 and trauma centres.
In this regard, the government also directed the Peoples Primary Health Institutes (PPHI) to take initial measures to implement the decision. Meanwhile, the cabinet deferred a proposal for amendments in provincial Fisheries Ordinance 1971, handing over the issue to provincial sub-committee to make the ordinance more concise with induction of fishermen welfare fund and Trust for local fishermen community.
