QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Yasinzai has stressed that privatisation can overcome issues of unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy in the province. “The available resources are far too meagre to handle the load of public issues,”he said while talking to a delegation led by Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M)’s Ahmad Nawaz Baloch in Governor House on Thursday. Solving people’s problems within meagre resources is a bit difficult for the government, he added. Yasinzai said that for sustainable solution of the issues faced by the public there is a need of taking long-term steps. He urged the government officials to perform their duties honestly. Meanwhile, the delegation of COMSATS university Islamabad headed by Dr Tabraiz met with the governor.  The delegation briefed him about the establishment of university’s campus in Quetta. The governor advised that before establishment of the campus, they must think about the basic issues of water and security for the campus. Yasinzai also stressed the need for women participation in society, calling it a prerequisite for democracy and stability of economy. He was talking to a delegation from the Dignity of Women Welfare Society led by president Fahmida Hazara on Wednesday. “The role of women cannot be ignored,” he added.
