Two terrorists killed in FC Balochistan operations

SMGs, IEDs, RPG-7 rockets recovered in Kalat, Kharan and Maiwand raids

ISLAMABAD: At least two terrorists were killed in intelligence-based operations  (IBOs) conducted by the Frontier Corps Balochistan.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday that FC Balochistan teams carried out intelligence-driven raids in Kalat, Kharan and Maiwand.

Conducted as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the IBOs targeted suspected terrorist hideouts in the three areas.

According to the military's media wing, security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition, including sub-machine guns, IEDs, grenades, mines, RPG-7 rockets and communication equipment.

On January 3, FC personnel conducted an IBO in the suburbs of Qila Saifullah and Kahan to "foil terrorist activities aimed at sabotaging peace in Balochistan".

Days before that, four security officials were martyred and as many others were wounded while staving off a terrorist attack on a training centre of a paramilitary force in central Balochistan.

Four terrorists – including a suicide bomber – were also killed in the botched attack on the Frontier Corps training centre in Loralai district.
