Peshawar based squash players bring home silver medals

Hamza Niaz wins silver medal in under-15 category and Hamam Ahmed wins silver medal in under-13

PESHAWAR: Peshawar based squash players brought home two silver medals from the US and British Junior Squash tournaments.

A reception in the honour of the junior players was held here in the sport complex Peshawar on Thursday in which former provincial sport minister sport Syed Aqil Shah, former squash world champion Qamar Zaman Khan, former world number-two Muhibullah Khan, Saleem Khan and sports ministry official have also participated.

At US Junior Squash Championship, Hamza Niaz won silver medal in under-15 category and Hamam Ahmed won silver medal in under-13.

In British Junior Hamza Sharif and Noor Zaman were the semi-finalists in the British Open Junior Squash Championship in under-17 and under-13 cattegories respectively.
