RAWALPINDI: A business council for the promotion of trade between Pakistan and Iran will be established soon, said Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mashallah Shakri on Monday. Talking to a delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Shakri said Iran was keen to invest in Pakistan’s power, gas and Halal meat sectors. Iran was well aware of the power requirements of Pakistan and had already offered supply of cheap electricity, he said, adding “we want to promote trade ties with Pakistan at every level on priority basis.”
