My father is an ambassador in an African country. The service is being run in such a manner that letters to ambassadors arrive after foreign conferences have taken place in the region. The seniors in the chain of command do not reply to letters at all to the point that ambassadors are compelled to the foreign secretary on what are mostly trivial issues. So why blame the army when the politicians clearly couldn’t care less?
