ISLAMABAD: The government has backed an initiative to map heritage sites located across the country and to identify the potential ones for maintenance, preservation and documentation.

This was stated by the Federal Minister for National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH) Shafqat Mehmood during the second-ever meeting of the Coordination Committee on Heritage Sites of Pakistan at the NH&LH Division on Tuesday. The committee had first met in July last year, but this was its first meeting since the NH&LH got a full-time minister following the July 25, 2018, elections.
