Despite receiving Rs850 billion funds from the federal government, not a single mega development project has started in our province, the PTI provincial president says.

QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Balochistan chapter President Yar Muhammad Rind has urged the chief justice of Pakistan and the National Accountability Bureau to investigate mega corruption of Rs850 billion in government funds to end the sense of deprivation among the people of the province.

“People of this mineral-rich province have been looking for clean water and other basic facilities, but ironically the funds given by the federal government for the purpose have gone to waste due to corruption,” said the PTI provincial president while talking to the media in Dera Murad Jamali on Monday.

PTI will not work as govt’s B-team: Rind

“Despite receiving Rs850 billion funds from the federal government, not a single mega development project has started in our province.

Unfortunately, public money has been looted in the name of development and prosperity of Balochistan,” said Rind. “Instead of witnessing prosperity in Balochistan, the deprived people are facing the worst situation ever as they are without basic human rights and facilities, including clean water and healthcare.”

He urged NAB and CJP to conduct an investigation into mega corruption in Balochistan and hold accountable the culprits, who caused losses to the national exchequer.

Sharing his views on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s foreign visits, Rind said, “PM Imran has received a positive respond from international partners.”
