Anti-flu vaccine is costly in Pakistan and majority cannot afford high price
KARACHI: Come winter season and the season of flu also begins. We find most people we meet coughing and sneezing constantly. But once you have caught the viral flu, all one needs to do is to take rest as flu takes its own time to wear off.
However, there is another way one can save oneself from falling sick, other than avoiding people who have the viral infection. This is by getting themselves injected with flu shot. In the West, people are injected with flu shots on the onset of the season of flu. This vaccination helps them to not fall sick. However, anti-flu vaccine is costly in Pakistan and the majority cannot afford the high price. The government can at least subsidise the vaccine making it affordable for the common people.
The health ministry should look into the matter and do the needful.
