The report, presented by Inspector General of the Frontier Corps Obaidullah Khattak to the National Assembly’s Parliamentary Committee on the Kharotabad killings, said that FC personnel had acted on information provided by the police.
The report went on to say that the FC personnel injured during the incident were hurt by friendly fire from the police and other FC personnel.
He further added that the foreigners were headed towards Iran. They held Russian and Tajik passports. IG FC also presented copies of their passports in the committee .
He said that after the court's verdict on this case FC commission headed by Brigadier Rasheed will also probe this incident.
Relatives of two of the foreigners killed in the incident arrived on Saturday, identifying a Tajik man and his Russian wife who were among the party of five foreigners shot dead by police and FC personnel in Kharotabad.
