AD Khawaja to head new Model Town JIT
Five-member team includes ISI,MI and IB representatives

The Punjab government on Thursday announced that current Motorway Police IG AD Khawaja would head the new Joint Investigation Team to probe the Model Town tragedy.
The newly formed JIT also includes Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Col Atiqur Zaman, Military Intelligence (MI) Lt Col Irfan Miraz, and Deputy Director Intelligence Bureau (IB) Ahmed Kamal.
Punjab govt to form new Model Town JIT
Earlier on December 5, the Supreme Court had been informed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Punjab government has decided to form a new JIT for a fresh probe into 2014 Model Town massacre.
On June 17, 2014, Punjab police launched a crackdown to remove barriers erected outside the residence of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
The subsequent clash between police and the PAT workers resulted in death of 14 activists of the party.
