RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Wednesday demolished 17 shops illegally constructed on Railway Road and confiscated four truckload goods of encroachers under its ongoing anti-encroachment operation.

According to RCB spokesperson, earlier, notices were issued to the owners of the shops to remove encroachments on their own else strict action would be taken.

RCB teams also demolished illegal sheds and cemented constructions in the area.

He said, the anti-encroachment team conducted raids in Dhoke Mustakeem, Pirwadhai Mor, Bakra Mandi, Chungi Number 22, Tench Bhatta and other areas and confiscated hand carts, counters, tables, stands, chairs and other items of encroachers.
