Californian diver vows to find Bin Laden's corpse

An eccentric Californian treasure hunter announced that he will search for Osama bin Laden’s body as proof that the al Qaeda leader is really dead.

According to media reports, diver Bill Warren, 59, has vowed to scour the sea bed to find the corpse of bin Laden and deliver photographic evidence that the terror leader was killed, the New York Post reported.

Bin Laden's body was buried at sea according to the White House statement issued after the Abbottabad raid on his compound to lead to his death in May.

However, Warren expressed his distrust of the US government and President Obama. He said that some in the intelligent circle maintain that Bin Laden is not really dead.

The diver estimates that the search will cost upto $400,000 and will require several ships and hi-tech equipment. Warren has also arranged for a DNA test should the body be found.

Warren, who has discovered more than 200 undersea wrecks, told the Post he was taking on the mission to expose the truth.

"I'm doing it because I am a patriotic American who wants to know the truth. I do it for the world," he said.
