Northern areas experience sub zero temperatures

As winter breeze blows across the country, temperatures in the northern areas drop below zero degrees, Express News reported on Wednesday.

Snowfall in the mountainous regions brought temperatures to an all-time low across the country. The season's first snowfall in Murree delighted tourists and fog engulfed Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.



Heavy clouds and rainfall in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi brought a gust of cold winds.

According to the Met department, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to see rain and snowfall on hilltops in the coming week.

While mild showers are expected in areas of Zhob, Quetta, Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha and Islamabad.
