Bollywood mourns veteran star Kader Khan's passing

Industry insiders took to Twitter to pay a tribute to the renowned actor

Kader Khan was loved by many around the world. Mans are saddened by his recent passing. Other than fans, Bollywood insiders also took to social media to mourn this huge loss.

"Kader Khan passes away. Sad depressing news. My prayers and condolences. A brilliant stage artist, a most compassionate and accomplished talent on film... a writer of eminence; in most of my very successful films. A delightful company and a mathematician," wrote Amitabh Bachchan.

Bachchan and Khan have worked together in hit films such as Do Aur Do Paanch, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Mr Natwarlal, Suhaag, Coolie and Shahenshah.

Actor Anupam Kher shared a video as a tribute to the actor-screenwriter on Twitter. "KaderKhan sahab was one of the finest actors of our country. It was a joy and a learning experience to be on the sets with him. His improvisational skills were phenomenal. His humour was eternal and original. He was a wonderful writer. We will miss him and his brilliance."

"An actor and writer who defined a generation... You’ve left a void in the industry that cannot be filled. RIP #KaderKhan. My heartfelt prayers to his family," penned actor Arjun Kapoor. Akshay Kumar wrote, "Saddened to learn about the demise of Kader Khan saab, had the good fortune of working with him in quite a few films... a fine actor and an even better comedian. My thoughts and prayers with his family."

He will always remain in our hearts and a forever shining star in the sky. Sending my thoughts, love & prayers to the family." While Rishi Kapoor said, "RIP Kader bhai Khan sahab! Bahut lamba rishta tha aapka hum sab Kapoors ke saath. Bahut kaam kiya bahut seekha aapse. Jannat Naseeb ho aapko. Ameen."
