Swimming: Evans sets record after return
Set a Masters age group world record in the 400-meter freestyle in her return to swimming.
FULLERTON:
Four-time Olympic champion Janet Evans, in a comeback for the London Olympics, set a Masters age group world record in the 400-meter freestyle in her return to swimming. In her first race since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the 39-year-old swam the event in four minutes 23.82 seconds at the Janet Evans Invitational to set a new standard in the 35-39 age group.
