Eight file papers for Senate seat

Provincial Election Commissioner Ghulam Asrar Khan has said eight nomination papers have been received for the Senate election on the seat which fell vacant after the death of Sardar Azam Musakhel earlier this month.
In a statement on Thursday, the commissioner said the submission process of the nomination papers for the seat of Senate in Balochstan has been completed. Around 28 nomination papers were issued.
The eight candidates are: Yaya Nasir of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Manzoor Ahmad of Balochistan Awami Party, Gulam Nabi of Balochistan National Party, Mohammad Hanif of Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami Party, Abdul Wahid of MMA, Inyatullah Khan of Awami National Party, Mujeebur Rehman, Mohammad Hassani, and Naseemur Rehman of Balochistan Awami Party.
The scrutiny of the nomination papers will continue from 29-31 December.
