QUETTA: People in the remote areas of Sohbatpur district are compelled to drink contaminated water as there is no clean drinking water facility available in sub tehsil Syed Mohammad Kanarani, Manjipur and Fareedabad.
Member of Balochistan Water Committee Usman Badai told reporters on Wednesday that the abysmal state of water facility in Sohbatpur was known after a visit to the area.
He said the committee (set up after the directives of the Supreme Court) would soon present a report to the chief justice of Pakistan.
Upon some suggestions to overcome the crisis, Badai said the supply of water through pipelines in Syed Mohammad Kanarani and its adjacent areas is possible through tube wells.
