KARACHI: This week has seen numerous events take place in Bollywood. From promotional campaigns for upcoming films to wedding festivities, industry insiders have been busy getting all dolled up for their respective occasions. That means lots of fashion! Here are five looks from this week that stood out.

1. Kangana Ranaut

Attending an event in Kolkata, Kangana donned a green Sabyasachi outfit. The sari featured golden trimmings and was teamed with a black, floral blouse and ornamented waistcoat.

She accessorised with muted jewellery, with her natural, curly hair pushed back in a ponytail. Kangana's makeup entailed smokey eyes and nude lips, keeping in with the effortless vibe.

2. Sara Ali Khan

With the release of her upcoming film Simmba nearly here, Sara has been ever so busy with promotions. She seems to have followed in her co-star Ranveer Singh's footsteps on the sets of India's Got Talent this week as she came out wearing an eccentric mini dress. However, it may not be to everyone's taste.

The heavily embroidered bodycon dress from Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla definitely stood out, but not necessarily in the right way. The oversized acrylic hoops are on trend but a brighter colour may have worked better. Dewy makeup and beach waves completed her look.

3. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Sonam is never one to shy away from trying something different and standing out from the crowd. This week, she did exactly that. The Veere Di Wedding star rocked an electric blue ensemble comprising a fitted blazer and pleated skirt.

The top featured white embellishments on one side and an open pocket. This added the asymmetrical aspect to her look while the layered skirt brought in a touch of femininity. She paired her outfit with black Chelsea boots, long waves and soft neutral makeup. Sonam was my favourite of the week, but I wish she'd ditched those earrings and let the garb speak for itself.

4. Deepika Padukone

It's no surprise that Deepika has made this list. She's been stunning us with her outfits recently and this week is no different. The Padmaavat starlet opted for a bright pink banarasi sari for Kapil Sharma's wedding reception.

She had her hair slicked back in a low bun while her accessories including a gold choker, elaborate bangles and earrings with pearl details. Her makeup entailed a dark, winged eyeliner, highlighted skin and a nude pout.

5. Anushka Sharma

Anushka always manages to impress with her outfit choices. One of those choices included a ruffle black dress this week. Everything from the spaghetti straps, sweetheart neckline, mesh ruching and flower appliques worked for her.

The Zero actor accessorised with nothing but metal earrings... wise move! She paired her ensemble with black stilettos and had her hair in a sleek ponytail with a middle parting. Her makeup was fairly neutral with a bold liner on pink metallic lids, bronzed face and nude lips. Dark nail polish rounded off her look.
