Hassani assures police of relief package

Meets top police officials in Quetta

QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Finance Mir Muhammad Arif Muhammad Hassani has assured the police authorities of resolving their financial issues relating to relief packages for martyred police officials and other perks.

It came during a meeting with Additional Inspector General of Police Chaudhry Manzoor and Assistant Inspector General of Police Sohail Shaikh at his office on Monday.

The finance minister said social protection, prevention of crime, and controlling law and order situation are the top priorities of provincial government.

“Law enforcement agencies are playing vital role in maintaining law and order in the province and no one can deny the sacrifices rendered by policemen,” he said, adding that all available resources will be utilised for the betterment of police department.

During the meeting, Hassani paid tribute to the martyred police officials and said their sacrifices will be remembered forever.

Meanwhile, AIG Manzoor briefed the minister about the different measures taken by the police department.

During the 88th passing-out parade ceremony held at the Police Training Centre, Quetta Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan Mohsin Hassan Butt had also urged the provincial government to release funds for the department upgrade.

He said that police have succeeded in improving the law and order situation in the province.

“Concrete steps taken by the law enforcement agencies have produced better results in the province”.
