Benazir murder case: Court seeks details of Musharraf’s property

Police, revenue official told to comply by June 25.

The anti-terrorism court hearing the case of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination directed the police and revenue authorities on Saturday to provide details of all movable and immovable property of former president Pervez Musharraf who has been cited as one of the accused in the case.

In a related development, the Lahore High Court issued the transfer order of Rana Nisar Ahmed, the trial judge in the case, and appointed him as additional district and sessions judge at Shakargarh.

The special judge ATC-III directed the SHO of City police station and the collector, Islamabad to gather the details and submit the record with the court by June 25, enabling it to attach the property for not appearing before the court. The court had already issued ‘permanent warrants’ for Musharraf’s arrest.

Two police officers, Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad, who had been accused in the case and five others arrested men were in the court at the time. The court will proceed against the seven accused after deciding Musharraf’s legal status.

Police officers had obtained bail from the high court and accused Sher Zaman, Aitzaz Shah, Rafaqat Hussain, Abdul Rasheed and Hasnain Gul are in the jail for being part of the conspiracy to kill Bhutto.

It is right,you should believe,he will come and contest the election. As for as BB murder case is concerned,he will face the trial ,according to him,his hands are clean not smeared with BB's blood. On the base of blank record,no person can be convicted. For conviction some material is indispensable such as; documentary evidence, circumstantial evidence, eyewitnesses, crime weapon, and other bloodstained material that is essential in the murder case. in case, any person involved in murder conspiracy, documentary evidence is essential to prove the guilty, audio,video and other related statement and crown witnesses. Court is moving on the principle set by the Cod of Criminal Procedure. Any person summoned by the court should present himself before the court with right of defense.
