The Foreign Ministry will be hosting a two-day conference aimed to attract foreing investment in to the country, Radio Pakistan reported.

Speaking to media in Multan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi revealed that dignitaries from at least 11 countries will be attending the conference. The conference will see Prime Minister Imran Khan, Finance Minister Asad Umar and Advisor to the PM on Commerce, Textile, Industries and Investment Abdul Razzaq Dawood presenting their economic visions.

Reflecting on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) governance, the foreing minister the incumbent government’s prudent policies were yielding positive results.

Quershi said the government was taking practical steps for strengthening economy. He added that recently announced packages from China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) , United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia were a testimony to the government’s efforts.

He further said that UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be visitng Pakistan in the first week of January next year while KSA Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is likely to visit in February.

“The PTI-led government is committed to establishment of south Punjab as separate province but there are administrative and legislative requirements which must be fulfilled,” FM Qureshi said.
