Resumes flight operations in Pakistan after a long period of 10 years
LAHORE: Good news for Pakistan that the British Airways has now announced resumption of its flight operations in Pakistan after a long period of 10 years. This is good time that the BA is back and Pakistan should give all the support as this would help in reviving our aviation industry and helping our economy as well. The British Airways will resume flights to Pakistan from June 2019. It will also strengthen the relationship between the UK and Pakistan. However, BA flights will land at Benazir International Airport in Islamabad and take off from there as well. I think the BA should also start flights operation from Lahore because a significant number of passengers travel from Lahore to the UK. It means the people of Lahore will have to go to Islamabad to catch a BA flight. I hope the government will manage to attract other international airlines as well to start the flight operations from Pakistan. Many government officials have appreciated this step taken by the BA.
