Fast food has been mentioned as one of the major reasons for various health issues

SHIKARPUR: In innumerable researches, fast food has been mentioned as one of the major reasons for various health issues, including obesity, high blood pressure and a lot more. Prepared in less time than the usual cooked food, fast food has in no time become a preference for many from different age groups. Fast food contains more salt, sugar and very less dietary fibre and is unhealthy. With fast food, the body gains weight quickly while slowing down the metabolic rate. Due to overconsumption of fast food, oxygen supply to brain reduces. Burgers, pizza and pastas are few from the wide range of fast food available. People, who have fast food in their diet, face health problems. Fast food contains carbohydrates, fats and cholesterol that increase the level of cholesterol in the body, simultaneously increasing the risk of heart ailments.

Pancreas is also likely to be damaged from excessive consumption of fast food. Fatigue is common in people who consume fast food on a regular basis. These reasons are enough to instigate major changes to one’s lifestyle and eating habits. Vegetables, grain and fruits not only add to improved health and productivity but also lessen the risk for age-induced health issues.
