Karachi has never had a traffic plan to manage the ever-increasing number of vehicles
KARACHI: Unfortunately, a city as big as Karachi has never had a traffic plan to manage the ever-increasing number of vehicles hitting the road every day. The authorities, however, have recently carved out a separate lane for motorcyclists, albeit to maintain the flow of traffic. However, given the number of vehicles that cross by Shahrae Faisal at one given time, the lane is too narrow to serve the purpose. Further, tracks and cars are often seen driving in the same lanes allotted for bikers.
This needs to be regulated so that the narrow lane is used by motorcyclists only.
