Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah called out Prime Minister Imran Khan for acknowledging his failures by speaking about the possibility of midterm elections, Express News reported on Wednesday.

Addressing the media in Islamabad, the senior PPP leader stated that the opposition wants the government to complete its tenure considering the woes the country is steering through.

Sarwar says opposition parties desperate to see PTI fail

"We do not want to put the well-being of the country and its people in jeopardy," he said.

The PPP leader further added that the failure of the government isn't the same as the failure of the parliament. If key decisions are taken through the parliament, the state of affairs can improve, added Shah.

Nawaz says PML-N ready for early polls

Earlier this month, the incumbent prime minister stated a possibility of midterm elections over which former prime minister Nawaz Sharif heavily criticised the ruling party. On the occasion, deposed premier Nawaz added that the nation is ready to go to polls early.
