OKARA:
A man allegedly gunned down his own father over a property dispute in Okara’s Dipalpur Tehsil on Monday. Police claim to have arrested the suspect.

According to details, Naveed, a resident of Taj Colony, had a dispute over a property with his father Afzal Shiraz for the past few days.

On the day of the incident, Naveed barged into the house, along with his accomplices and opened fire on Afzal, killing him on the spot. After committing the murder, the suspect fled the scene.

Meanwhile, people from the neighbourhood informed the police which reached the spot and shifted the body to a local hospital to complete legal formalities.

City Police station SHO Farrukh Shahzad said that soon after the tragic murder, the police cordoned of the area and succeeded in arresting the culprit. He added that strict action will be taken against him, while further investigations were under way.

Earlier, a man shot dead his two brothers over a property dispute in Lahore’s Mughalpura area.

The police said the accused Basharat and the deceased Asif and Rashid, along with their two other brothers, were busy in discussing a property dispute. During the discussion, they exchanged harsh words with each other. The accused got infuriated and shot at his two brothers, killing them on the spot.
