4 celebrities that shone bright at Star Screen Awards 2018
From Alia Bhatt's ruffled creation to Ranveer Singh's eccentric two-piece, here are some stars who stole the limelight
KARACHI:
The Star Screen Awards 2018 were held on Sunday night with celebrities taking home trophies for their outstanding work this year. While some shone bright for their achievements, others beamed with their attires. From Alia Bhatt's ruffled creation to Katrina Kaif's feathered number, here are four stars that stole the limelight with their stunning ensembles.
1. Alia Bhatt
Bhatt was captured in a pastel pink Winnie Couture dress looking angelic as ever. The form-fitted bodice with the big skirt made for a flattering silhouette and the deep V-neck really worked for her toned bod. The top was covered in silver beading adding a subtle sparkle to the look while the candy floss bottom brought in the femininity.
The Highway actor's makeup was understated, comprising highlighted skin, bold brows and and smoked-out eyes. She accessorised with nothing but a couple of rings and her hair in a side-swept ponytail, keeping in with the effortlessly innocent feel.
Bhatt won the Best Actress Award for Raazi.
2. Ranveer Singh
Singh sported his signature flamboyant style as he donned a vibrant suit with some quirky shades. The two-piece had a blue-toned base with plain black lapels and featured silken embellishing.
The Simmba star teamed the suit with a dark turtle neck and a gold lion-head necklace to match the patterns on his clothing. Slicked-back hair, an elaborate watch and black patent shoes rounded off his look.
Singh took home the Best Actor Award for Padmaavat.
3. Mouni Roy
Roy took me by surprise looking oh-so-dreamy clad in a blushed champagne-hued Robert Abi Nader gown. It encompassed a plunging neckline and illusion sleeves with the incorporation of mesh. The zigzag panelling at the waist gave the garb a bit of structure, leading to the uneven fall on the skirt which gave it more depth. The silver embroidery complemented the sheen base fabric perfectly, adding just the right amount of gleam.
The Gold actor had half her hair up with a parting just off the middle and her makeup featured big lashes, rosy skin and a pink pout. She wore no accessories which was a good call as otherwise it could have gone a little overboard.

4. Katrina Kaif
Kaif stepped out in a dazzling Falguni & Shane Peacock number. The fit and flare outline of the ensemble did wonders for her, with the cape making for a very welcome trimming. The sheerness added to the softness while the feathers brought the wow factor. The dress was covered in heavy ornamentation yet wasn't too much, thanks to the same coloured beading which created a delicate, glistening effect.
The Zero star wore her hair down in waves and rocked a chiselled face with dramatic eyes and nude lips. She completed the look with a pair of drop earrings and silver rings.
Kaif won the Best Real Star on Social Media Award.
