In a recent interview with The New York Times, Ellen shared how her wife, actor Portia de Rossi, wants her to leave daytime TV while her brother, also a comedian, Vance DeGeneres urges her to stay.
Speaking of her wife, the comic stated, "She gets mad when my brother tells me I can't stop" to which Rossi responded, "I just think she's such a brilliant actress and stand-up that it doesn't have to be this talk show for her creativity. There are other things she could tackle . . . I don't see the end of her show as her career ending."
Ellen is all set to have her stand-up comedy special titled Relateable release on Netflix on December 18, 2018. "The talk show is me, but I'm also playing a character of a talk-show host... I wanted to show all of me," she stated, explaining why she is returning to stand-up after a 15-year hiatus.
