According to a press statement, Realme aims to target the younger generation through its affordable product range.
At its launch in Pakistan, the company is set to target over 60% of the youth following such launches in multiple Asian markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and India. Additionally, the company says it has created a strong market presence in Thailand.

In India, the company sold 1 million units within four months, making it the fourth most popular online smartphone brand. In Indonesia, the company managed to sell 40,000 units in 21 minutes.
On the other hand, Huawei Consumer Business Group Pakistan is striving to take advantage of the latest fifth generation (5G) technology as its executives are working to create 5G-enabled handsets in synchronisation with its parent company, Huawei Technologies China.
Owing to the large size of the market with a population of over 200 million, the executives consider Pakistan as a potential market.

In terms of volume, the company has surpassed Apple globally in the second quarter of this year. In Pakistan, it posted a growth of over 100%, taking its market share to 22.2% in the second quarter of 2018 from 10.5% in the same quarter of previous year.
Since Pakistan is a fast emerging market for the company besides having a strong history of acceptance and adaptability with new technologies, the company plans to continue introducing innovative devices at competitive prices.
