This was stated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Haji Amjad Mehmood Chaudhry in a press conference on Tuesday.
He said that Bahria Town was a name of trust in the field of business. It supports 55 industries alongside it and if the issue of Bahria Town is not resolved, at least 45,000 people, who are direct employees of the entity, will become unemployed. Already, 10,000 people have been fired from their jobs due to the current situation.
Chaudhry said Bahria Enclave bought thousands of canals of land. A complaint of Capital Development Authority (CDA) came forward regarding 125 canal of the land. To address the issue, Malik Riaz offered CDA to take 250 canals of land and investigate it. The question arises why CDA kept quiet during purchase of the land and who is at fault.
Bahria Town created a new city in the most deserted areas of Karachi where previously dacoits ruled. No one wanted to purchase that land, but that was changed, said Chaudhry.

In response to a question, the MPA said Bahria Town has developed 0.4m canals of land and a huge amount of domestic and foreign investment coming in for Bahria is being pumped into the economy.
In such a situation if a complaint of such magnitude has come forth for a company, the complaint can be resolved and we want to help address it, he said.
