The walk was arranged by a non-governmental organisation Taraqee Foundation.
Led by Sardar Bahadur Khan University Vice Chancellor Rukhsana Jabeen, Balochistan University Vice Chancellor Dr Javed Iqbal, and other prominent leaders, the walk began from Urak Valley and was later joined by Governor Amanullah Yasinzai before its culmination.

At the end of the walk, speakers highlighted that it was matter of great pleasure and pride that the over 7,000-year-old civilisation is located in Balochistan but its significance is lost on our new generation.
The participants were informed that no government efforts were made to introduce such an ancient civilisation at national and international level. Speakers stressed that the aim of the walk was to get attention of the government and international organisations working for the protection of old civilisations.
Taraqee Foundation (TF) Chief Executive Amjad Rasheed, founding member of the TF Abid Razvi, Dr Sher Shah of WEFF, Chairman Board of Director of TF Dr Allah Dad Luni, Dr Lal Muhammad Kakar and senior journalist Shahzada Zulfiqar also participated in the walk.
