During the meeting, reforms in existing laws were discussed, including seven-year sentences in accordance with CRPC Section 30. It was also decided that a special magistrate will hear cases related to street crimes and sentence the accused to three to seven-year prison sentences.

It was decided a safe city project would be initiated in Karachi and cameras will be installed at all entry and exit points, with response teams from the police, traffic police and fire service on standby.

The National Action Plan and investigation and prosecution of terrorism cases were also discussed in the meeting. Secretary of the interior Kabeer Qazi said a working group had begun to address registration of madrassahs and monitoring of unofficial institutions.
Core commander Karachi, referring to the investigation of electronic crimes, said the province should have its own cyber-crime system. It was decided that the Sindh government would request assistance from the army's cyber-security wing in this regard.
