Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of a protest by dock workers of Port Qasim at the Karachi Press Club, Express News reported on Sunday.

The premier instructed Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi to address the concerns of the workers and resolve their issues.

During Sunday's protest, the protesters tried to march towards the Governor House from the press club. To disperse the protesters, police baton charged and used water cannons, resulting in several injuries. Many protesters were also arrested.

The protesters maintained that the minister for maritime affairs did not resolve their issues, negotiations also took place between the police and protesters outside the press club, in which the representative demanded the release of protesters in police custody.
