Bollywood singer Mika Singh has been detained in Dubai after a Brazilian girl complained that he sent her obscene messages. Mika was in Dubai to perform at an awards show and was arrested at 3 AM from a bar in Bur Dubai, reported The Indian Express.
A complained was lodged against him by a Brazilian teenager. Mika allegedly sent obscene photographs on Whatsapp. Complaint was lodged at the Muraqqabaat police station and Mika has been taken to Abu Dhabi jail. Dubai Police confirmed to Republic TV that the singer is in their custody for sexual harassment charges.
PHOTO: FILESources informed Gulf News that Mika Singh sent the teenager indecent photos along with promising her a job in a Bollywood film. He performed at the awards event and it was followed by a private party. Mika’s friends tried to get him released from jail.
His team member confirmed to ANI that he has been detained in the UAE. ANI tweeted, “Member of Singer Mika Singh's team: Singer Mika Singh has been detained in United Arab Emirates (UAE) after a girl complained against him for alleged harassment. Questioning underway.”

The Indian Consulate has not been contacted yet by Dubai police officials or Mika’s team. "We have not been approached so far and we believe that he is in Abu Dhabi,” Indian Consulate sources told Gulf News. Gulf News reached out to the singer’s publicist but he declined to comment.
Mika had taken to his Instagram account to share that he will be performing in Dubai. He also shared a photo with Akon on social media.
