According to PML-N leaders, the party would also try and hold a parliamentary party meeting before December 10.
A central organising committee meeting would also be held in the coming week in which a suggestion would be put forward for reorganising and restructuring the party.
Earlier this week party leader Ahsan Iqbal said several changes have been discussed and recommended and would be implemented after the likely approval of the party president in the central organising committee meeting.
According to the PML-N leadership, a request to requisition the NA session had been placed before the speaker on November 23. However, the speaker was also informed that the requisition would be withdrawn if he would call the session for December 10.
Moreover a production order had also been issued for party president Shehbaz Sharif to attend the session.
On the contrary, PML-N condemned the baton charge by police on their workers who had gathered outside the accountability court for Shehbaz Sharif’s hearing. The party said that workers tried to break free from the cordon created by the police to welcome Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival at the court.
PML-N leader MNA Pervaiz Malik said police opened baton charge for no reason which was very sad. He added workers did nothing wrong. He shared that the workers arrived there in large numbers to show solidarity with their leader who was facing political victimisation.
He shared that PML-N did not request anyone to show up at the court to welcome Shehbaz. He said people out of love for Shehbaz Sharif had reached the accountability court.
It is pertinent to mention here that a lot of PML-N workers that arrived outside the accountability court were communicated the time and date of the hearing with an instruction (request) to reach the venue. A request of this sort was floated in the PML-N social media group on Wednesday.
PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the baton charge on party workers and demanded the officers who ordered this inhuman act should be reprimanded in a way that no one ever does anything like this.
She clarified that thousands of workers and supporters who turned up out of love of their party president were absolutely peaceful at the NAB hearing because that's what their leadership has taught them unlike the PTI who assaulted the parliament.
She shared that despite the peaceful presence, the police brutally baton-charged men and women and arrested bleeding unarmed innocent civilians, many of whom are hospitalised for treatment due to severe injuries.
"If NAB has any shame, it would have sent PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif home, instead of sending him to jail, after it miserably failed to engineer any corruption against him despite mentally torturing him in an illegal abduction,” she remarked.
The PML-N spokesperson said the bureau had kept Shehbaz in illegal torture-cell, a cancer survivor in terrible conditions for over two and half months not because there was any proof, but because it was part of a design.
She added that the medical board advised by senior doctors of PIMS two weeks ago had not been formed because of the illegitimate ‘NAB-Niazi’ marriage acting in pure political vengeance.
