He said this during the hearing regarding construction of Nai Gaj Dam on Tuesday.
He said projects are started for the sake of ‘kickbacks’ and later it is said they are needed no more.
He remarked that no one comes from the Sindh government.
The CJP said the federal government is to release Rs46 billion for the construction of the dam and 51 per cent of the project had been completed. But the Sindh government says the project is not needed anymore.
The CJP asked the additional attorney general that whether the federal government had released funds for the dam. On this, the additional attorney general replied that the Sindh government had changed its approach and was reluctant to undertake the construction of the dam.

At this, the CJP asked the additional attorney general about the connection of the construction with this matter. He said the federal government had to release Rs46 billion for the construction of the dam.
The additional attorney general prayed to the court to grant some more time so that a report can be submitted in this regard. He said some contributions had to be made by the Sindh government in this regard.
The CJP remarked that why not start investigation against those who were recommending stopping the construction of the dam.
Justice Ijazul Ahsan instructed that the complete details should be provided to the court in this regard. The court adjourned further hearing of the case.
