The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has requested the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) to increase the gas prices.
According to the suggestion, sui gas prices should be raised by Rs215 per MMBTU, Liquefied Natural Gas by Rs103 and liquefied petroleum gas by Rs4,295 per MMBTU.
The application says that there was a shortfall of Rs91 billion for the year 2018-19 and increase in the prices was necessary to fulfill the shortfall.
Ogra will decide the application of SNGPL on December 10. According to a TV channel, the expected increase in the gas prices is preparation to accept the conditions of the IMF.
