PTI govt’s performance

Govt's account of its own performance falls short on substance on numerous counts

LAHORE: Regardless of the usual grill of the opposition over the ruling PTI’s revealing of its 100-day performance, the PTI’s account of its own performance falls short on substance on numerous counts. The government has proudly worn the badge of Kartarpur corridor, which apart from the current government’s competence has much to do with India’s internal political atmosphere. Further, how much the country has secured from friendly countries does nothing to explain the economic crunch the country is going through. The overuse of the term ‘austerity’ is of little significance if the common people remain skeptical of the government’s notion of making the country a ‘welfare state’, due to policies that lead to inflation and unemployment.

The PTI is known for populist politics while in the opposition, it should now realise that the party is now a part of the government hence only deliverance would work and not who performs and entertains the attendees at party events.
