A girl was found dead in unexplained circumstances in her house on Wednesday. The body of Rubab Shamshad, 22, a resident of sector G-7/3, was first shifted to Polyclinic and later to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. A mark of rope was found on the right side of her neck.
Two women brought the girl to the hospital. During interrogation, the two women, who stated to be the neighbours of the girl, told the police that they spotted her lying on her bed.
They claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope. However, her body was found lying on the bed instead of hanging from the ceiling, which raised doubts. The police suspected that there was a possibility that someone had strangled her with a rope.
