QUETTA: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan, Maj Gen Fayaz Hussain Shah has sought public support for maintaining peace in the country.

“Public and tribal leaders are the real asset of the country,” the newly-appointed IG said during a visit to the FC sector headquarters in Pishin on Tuesday.
He urged society to stand against elements spreading hate speech against the sacrosanct institutions of the state.

During his first visit to the district, the IG was fascinated with the sincerity of the people and their awareness about peace, education and health.

Shah vowed to resolve all issues of the district. He also said steps would be taken for employing the youth of the area. “Only through employment can peace be established,” he added.

He lauded the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for their ceaseless service for development of the country. Their personnel had embraced martyrdom for the motherland and peace, he added.

Besides the LEAs, people too had given utmost sacrifices for the country, he said.
“Serving the people is the major responsibility of the FC,” he said, adding that people must cooperate with all law enforcement agencies during checking. The personnel of the FC must respect women during checking, he stressed.

North Sector Commander Liyaqat Ali, Loralai Scouts Commandant Colonel Amir and Killa Saifullah Commandant Colonel Taimor were also present on the occasion.
