PESHAWAR: A woman additional assistant commissioner of Peshawar has been in the spotlight, carrying her infant child as she runs a vigorous campaign against encroachments in the district.

Sara Tawab, who has recently been made part of the district administration's team, initiates action against encroachments on a daily basis.

Her extensive drive has resulted into eliminating shops, owners of whom would increase prices of commodities during the evening, or encroach on government's land.

Such shopkeepers were arrested in large numbers, while many were made to fix their act.

Throughout her successful campaign in Dilzak road, Faqirabad, and Hashtnagri on a daily basis, Tawab always keeps her child, Maham, with her.

The onlookers and passers by applaud the assistant commissioner for the exemplary gesture.

With the federal government razing buildings, which encroached on state land in the capital, the provincial government has also kick-started a massive anti-encroachment drive, its suburbs and surrounding areas in the erstwhile frontier regions.

This is the second massive anti-encroachment campaign in the provincial capital since 2015.
