workshop: Overpopulation, scarcity of resources greatest challenges

No one can deny the fact that natural resources are steadily decreasing and have become too insufficient to combat the tremendous population sprawl.

Therefore, developing countries like Pakistan are presently facing severe impacts due to the limited supply of natural resources.

This was stated by NUST Institute of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (IESE) IESE Associate Dean Dr Imran Hashmi while addressing the participants of “International Workshop on Sustainable Urban Water Technologies and Construction.”

The workshop was hosted by IESE and School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (SCEE) in Islamabad at the university’s main campus on Tuesday.
