MIRANSHAH:
Security forces on Tuesday came under attack in two different areas of the former North Waziristan Agency, a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the former tribal agency.

According to sources, a security forces’ check post was targeted at Kajori sub-division of Mir Ali with rockets, which partially damaged the outpost. But no human loss was reported in the attack.

Separately, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off at Boya Tehsil of Muhammad Khel Village when a security force’s vehicle was passing by. Despite the IED blast those travelling in the vehicle remained unhurt. The vehicle, however, suffered partial damage.

After these attacks, the force cordoned off the area and mounted a search operation, which was under way till filing of the report. A limited curfew was still imposed in the areas but there was no report of any arrests during the search operations.
