People-friendly: K-P sets up 22 model police stations

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has established 22 model police stations in various parts of the province to provide easy justice and access to the high echelon of power, said a press release issued from Central Police Office (CPO) on Monday.

Women desks have also been established in these model police stations for redressal of their confronting problems and grievances. Owing to it, the womenfolk are presenting their problems to the ladies police on duty without any hesitation.

Besides this, two lady doctors are also performing duty on these desks to provide first aid to the injured persons of any incident. Police station is an important organ of law enforcement and is the first step in the justice ladder as well as the first point of interaction of public and police. Great responsibilities devolve on its staff to restore the much needed confidence of public on this important unit.
