ISLAMABAD: PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif's medical reports revealed that he was suffering from cancer, Express News reported on Friday.

Shehbaz had sought treatment for a sore throat. His reports, however, showed traces of Chromogranin A, a marker of neuroendocrine tumours.

Ashiana case: Court extends Shehbaz’s remand till Nov 24

Doctors have recommended that the PML-N president get a CT scan done immediately. Shehbaz has previously suffered from spinal cancer and disclosed his illness after receiving criticism for his trips to London, which were to seek medical treatment.

An accountability court extended Shehbaz remand until November 24 at the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) which has been interrogating him over the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme since October 6.

The court, however, rejected NAB’s application for Shehbaz’s remand in Ramzan Sugar Mill case.
