Nation celebrates Eid Miladun Nabi with religious zeal, fervour

Day dawns with thirty-one gun salutes at the Federal Capital, twenty-one gun salutes at all provincial capitals

The nation on Wednesday is celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi with great religious zeal and fervour, Radio Pakistan reported.

The day dawned with 31-gun salutes at the Federal Capital and 21 gun salutes at all provincial capitals.



Special prayers for the unity of the Muslim community, its progress and prosperity were offered after the fajr prayers.



Radio Pakistan and state-owned Pakistan Television are also airing special programmes to honour the day.

In Karachi, the main procession of the day will be taken out from the Memon Mosque, which will pass through the traditional routes and will culminate at Nishtar Park Karachi, where the main Mehfil-e-Milad will be held.



Strict security measures have been made to maintain law and order situation.
