Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan's U-turn statement by saying that "first they make promises, and then they take U-turns".

Addressing a public gathering in Gilgit, Bilawal said: "PPP's politics begins and ends at poverty and serving the deprived population."

The PPP chairman added that the party has rendered many sacrifices for the sake of democracy and the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has no interest in resolving the issues of the masses.

Govt clueless about economy, says Bilawal

Continuing his criticism of the incumbent government, the PPP chairman government leaders only want more power and are touring foreign countries for funds.

He went on to add that the PPP has always served the masses and offered jobs to the unemployed. "Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) took lands from the rich and gave it to the poor."

PPP to resist political victimisation: Bilawal

"We introduced the revolutionary Benazir Income Support program, which is acclaimed globally for eradicating poverty."
